Don't be alarmed, but the universe doesn't want you to read this. Not to get all dramatic, but so far everything that could go wrong, has in my efforts to get this little blog post out and into the world- cracked memory card, dead batteries, no internet connection, key board malfunctions (that one was kitten caused....) I am not off to the best start. Regardless, I will soldier on. I'm a trooper.

"A weightless yogurt smoothie for supreme hydration, smoothing and priming before makeup. A centuries-old Greek skin soothing solution, yogurt is rich in probiotics, proteins, and minerals to nourish and support skin's natural defense. Boosted with 3 types of hyaluronic acid, it promotes skin elasticity and reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines for plumped healthy-looking skin."

The Korres Greek Yogurt Smoothie Priming Moisturizer is a hybrid-type product, as it offers skincare and makeup in one go- can you call primer makeup? Whatever, you get the gist. The lightweight lotion has a moisturizer feel, but leaves the skin feeling extra soft and prepped for makeup and can be used by all skin types. I tend to opt for moisture over a typical primer, so I appreciate that this is actually very hydrating for such a light formula while leaving an optimal base- meaning, this isn't just a moisturizer labeled as a primer.

Housed in an airless pump, the primer is easily controlled, as you really don't need much for your whole face. The primer does have an obvious scent- fresh, light, and clean but indiscernible- but could be problematic for those sensitive to scent as it does linger a little bit. It should also be noted, that like all Korres products, this is formulated with 94.7% natural ingredients, and is made without petrolatum, mineral oil, silicones, propylene glycol, and ethanolamines.

While this ticks most of my primer must haves off the list (hydrating, softening, smoothing, etc) I'm not so sure if it prolongs makeup wear by much. I don't need prolonged wear from my primer, but it's worth noting for those looking for the longest wear-time. I can say it prevents my driest areas from getting drier throughout the day though, which is a small win in an of itself. My skin feels better after makeup removal that without this product, which is also pretty pleasing. I am overall a fan of this, but am disappointed to see yogurt powder (and whey protein), the presumed star of the show, is found as the last ingredient listed on the box... Meaning, you're not getting a whole lot of oomph out of it in the formula. What do you think? Tried this or want to? Have any favourite Korres products?
