Holiday Lip Lovin' | eos for Everyone

Can you truly ever have too much lip balm? I don't know that you can. Even when I think I'm at my max, one more always seems like a good idea. I'd like to think everyone else has my sensibilities when it comes to balm too. I mean, everyone has lips and nobody wants dry ones, so it just works, right? Anyway, I say a little lip balm makes a great stocking stuffer or add on to another gift. eos just happens to have some delicious options for the holidays (think vanilla bean, peppermint mocha, pumpkin spice...)

eos lip lovin holiday collection

What are the holidays (in the beauty world, at least) without limited editions? eos is offering up some seasonal flavours in singles, duos, and trios including:
  • Natural Pumpkin Spice & Organic Vanilla Bean Visibly Soft Lip Balm Sphere Duo ($5.99)
  • Peppermint Mocha Visibly Soft Lip Balm Sphere ($3.49)

Pumpkin Spice has a warm, spicy blend of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove that is exactly what you would expect, while Vanilla Bean is more subtle with a soft natural vanilla scent. Peppermint Mocha is the scent I was immediately drawn to (I am a mint chocolate lover through and through) and was not disappointed with its cocoa-mint scent with just a hint of coffee.

As you may know, beeswax is a common ingredient in the eos sphere balms (you know, to keep them round) but waxes can feel heavy on lips and prevent the good stuff (aka oils and butters) from penetrating skin. The new Crystal Weightless Hydration Lip Balms don't have that issue. Why? They're completely wax free. Aside from looking pretty amazing (crystal clear!) the balm features a blend of five oils (shea, coconut, avocado, sunflower, and castor) and when it comes to the Hibiscus Peach flavour, a fresh burst of natural peach scent (hibiscus wasn't detectable to my nose.)

eos lip lovin smooth stick

While not completely wax free, the Smooth Stick formula is lighter in the wax department and made from 100% natural and 95% organic ingredients. Packed with coconut, olive, jojoba, and sunflower seed oils and shea butter, the stick gives lips a boost of need hydration. The Strawberry Sorbet scent is that of a fresh, sweet strawberry (it's so good!) and the two pack is perfect for sharing. Let's face it, we all have that friend who is notorious for 'borrowing' lip balm.

Of course, you can't go wrong with the eos classic- the Visibly Soft Lip Balm Sphere. The little round balm that launched the brand now comes in a pretty sizeable range of flavours. I have to admit, in the past I wasn't the biggest fan of their formula, but the new improved balms have less wax with a blend of cocoa and shea butters with four additional oils for maximum hydration.

Of the large variety available, I've been sampling my way through:
  • Blackberry Nectar: a subtle scent, but that of the freshest sweet blackberries
  • Lemon Twist SPF 15:I want to say this smells like lemon gelato (aka go good!) with the added benefit of SPF 15
  • Organic Sweet Mint: the classic sweet mint flavour in a 100% certified organic and natural formula containing sustainable sourced ingredients

Overall, not only cute way to keep lips happy through a long, dry winter, but a thoughtful little gift too. What do you think? Are you an eos fan? Have any favourite scents?
