Drugstore Lovin' | Garnier Edition

I will be honest and say it has been a good while since my last stroll through the drugstore. I'm realizing I kind of miss the experience, as you never know what new gems you're going to find on such an excursion. Anyway, if you're a fan of said trips, I do have a little selection of Garnier goodies that might just need to hop into your cart.

garnier skinactive mincellar and micellar cleansing gel

A great micellar is a must-have in every routine, and the Garnier SkinActive All-in-One Micellar Water for Normal & Sensitive Skin just happens to be a great option. I feel like I have tried them all and this is one that holds up to the red-capped version that spurred the trend. I've used many bottle of this (I think I'm up to three) and love that it really does break down makeup while being gentle on skin. It removes pretty much everything (save for waterproof mascara) from face, lips, and eyes leaving skin cleansed and without any kind of residue or film.

New to Garnier's micellar family is the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash that features the micellar technology we know and love in a rinse-off gel formula. Formulated to be gentle for even the most sensitive skin, the gel is enriched with grape extract to gently remove makeup, dirt and general impurities of the day. The formula can be used on the face, lips, and eyes and really does leave skin feeling well cleansed but not stripped. The liquid-gel just barely foams on skin and is really just a joy to use. It's reminiscent of a cleansing milk, as it truly excels at cleansing and removing makeup well on the face and eyes while remaining ultra gentle. I actually like to use this after the next item coming up for a quick, but complete evening cleanse...

garnier skinactive argan oil cleansing wipes

There is something to be said for easy makeup removal, and that is exactly what a cleansing cloth offers. That said, if you're a waterproof mascara wearer like myself, you still need an extra remover to get the job done. Or do you... The new Garnier SkinActive Makeup Removing Micellar Wipes with Argan Oil bring argan oil to the party (along with micellar solution) which works to break down long-wearing and waterproof formulas. I've put these to the test against both (and more, like glitter...) and can say they work with some patience. I do the apply light pressure, let it sit, then swipe move, and these do work to breakdown waterproof mascara and even hard to remove liquid lipstick. I typically would use a cleansing balm first, then a wipe, but it's great to know there is an option that can help on the nights when makeup removal is the last thing you want to do. Oh, and an added bonus- these have zero oily feel or odd taste when used on the lips.

garnier skinactive hydrating cream aloe leaf juice

I spent many of my younger years revolting against aloe (it was my Nan's cure for everything) but have come to love the gooey stuff. It plays a major part in the Garnier SkinActive Hydrating 3-in-1 Cream with Aloe Leaf Juice formula. The 97% natural formula works as day and night cream or as a hydrating mask. The light-weight cream is deceptively hydrating and leaves skin feeling super soft, plump, and perfectly hydrated without anything you don't want (think no parabens, dyes, or silicones.) It does have a soft, fresh scent however. I actually like it (it's the same scent most Garnier skincare has) but could be troublesome for those who are sensitive.

garnier whole blends oat delicacy mask

Stepping away from skincare, we've got a gem of hair product with the Garnier Whole Blends Oat Delicacy Gentle Rinse-Out Hair Mask (aka conditioner.) The mask is formulated to be gentle on delicate hair / sensitive scalps with a soothing formula that includes oat milk and rice cream extracts. It has a lightweight formula that isn't heavy on my finer textured hair (nor is it loaded with silicones) but still has enough oomph to nicely hydrate and leave it feeling well cared for and super soft.

Overall, some great Garnier options. I've been a fan of their micellar for some time, but am quite pleased to try more of their makeup removal options. Can you ever have too many? Clearly not. I am actually a bit surprised by just how great the Micellar Cleansing Gel. I'm inclined to say that it might just be the best drugstore cleanser....What do you think? Have you tried any of these products of want to? Do you have any brand faves?
